Fed up with your Geocoin going missing?
Want your Geocoin to return to your collection at any time?
Want your Geocoin to travel but also want to show it off at events?
NE Geocaching Supplies have been working hard for the last 12 months and we have developed a self returning or homing Geocoin to celebrate the centenary of the National Pigeon Service and the Dickin medal.
We have therefore designed our new Voyageurs Geocoin in the shape of a famous wartime carrier pigeon called William of Orange. William of Orange was a male pigeon soldier of MI14 (British secret service). He was awarded the 21st Dickin Medal in May 1945 for delivering a message from the Arnhem Airborne Operation. This message saved more than 2000 soldiers at the time of the Battle of Arnhem in September 1944. His official name in military record is NPS.42.NS.15125.
Please note: Price includes a special fob which can be used to activate the homing beacon embedded within the coin at any time.
Size: 60mm in diameter x 4mm - weight 10g
