Ammo can lock

Ammo can lock:

Turns a standard UK and EU Ammunition box into a lockable and secure box.

Ideal for puzzle caches or for other storage uses.

Will fit 0.303 cal, 0.50 cal and 7.62 EU Ammo boxes.

Easy installation.

Includes: Eyelet "bolt" (choice of zinc plated or stainless steel) stainless steel fittings and a high quality neoprene rubber washer (cream or black in colour) so the inside of your Ammo box remains dry. Stainless steel eyebolts are provided with a stainless steel threaded rod, zinc plated eyebolts are provided with a zinc plated threaded rod.

Please note: Padlock shown in the picture is not included in the kit. 

Requires some assembly and use of an electric drill. A large BZP washer is also included for the new Ammo cans which features the larger hole in the "snap-shut" handle.

A 8mm drill is available as an optional extra.

Works with a medium padlock up to a shackle diameter of no greater than 8mm.

Suits both styles of Ammo can including those with the enlarged hole in the flip handle.

Fitting instructions:

Drill an 8mm hole to fit the eyelet and screw fitting in the ammo can directly in line with the centre of the hole in the closed handle.

Place a metal washer on the eyelet bolt then pass the threaded portion of the eylet bolt through from the ouside of the ammo can, fit the neoprene washer then another metal washer, the split washer then the nylon lock nut and tighten.

If you are using an Ammo can with the smaller hole on the locking handle you will need to drill this out to 20mm and file the bottom of this hole flat to enable the handle to close over the metal eyelet.

If you are using the Ammo can with the larger hole on the locking handle you will need to place the large square washer over the locking handle before locking the Ammo can with a padlock.
